Late Professor Abdul Wahid, Professor of Anatomy and Principal,

Dow Medical College, Karachi. He was the Principal of Dow Medicine College from September 30 1969 to July 14 1978 (9 years).Prof. Wahid was very popular and the first teacher the students met in the Anatomy Lecture Hall next to his Principal’s Office. His unique style of explaining complicated embryology concepts with the help of Urdu poetry was remarkable and memorable. He left a lasting impression on the minds of Dow graduates and will remain an integral part of Dow History for a long time to come.
Prof. Abdul Wahid passed away on February 2 2000. May his soul rest in Peace.
